our twin site, proposes for free the sf2 and Kontakt versions of the soundbanks available here. - fr.hauptwerk.free.fr : a very interesting synthesis about pipe organ simulation, alas in french only... - Hauptwerk (commercial) : a wonderful pipe organ simulation software, created by Martin Dyde, and now sold by Milan Digital Audio. Thanks to him we can play plenty of magnificent sampled organs (or harpsichords), with MIDI keyboards/pedalboard. Note : this program had three successive versions, HW1, HW2 and HW3. Only HW3 is currently sold. The sound banks on our site have been created for HW1, but of course, work on HW2 and HW3 - GrandOrgue (freeware) : an excellent pipe organ simulation project, initially called MyOrgan. Only HW1 format is supported, and the fonctions are more limited than in HW2 or 3. - MusicReprints : a useful site, specialized in reprints and facsimile of old editions, devoted to organ, harpsichord and piano-forte music. It publishes also modern restitutions of this music. - PcOrgan : an interesting site dedicated to Hauptwerk, with a complete list of all available organ sample sets. |
